Project of the Week 11/13/14 | Jet to Submersible Conversion

Jet pumps are notoriously troublesome:

They are noisy, inefficient, and unreliable. Their only redeeming qualities are that they are relatively cheap and easy to work on. Still, even for shallow well applications where they are used, they are usually more trouble than they are worth.

Whenever we come across one, we always convert the system to a submersible pump. These pumps are quiet, produce more head using less power, and are virtually unstoppable.

In this example, the client had finally gotten tired of the constant maintenance on their jet pump and asked us to provide them a solution. Their new submersible pump should give them years and years of trouble-free service.
